Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • 1/2 cup split yellow gram (moong dal)


  • 1/2 cup split green gram(green moong dal)


  • 2 tbsp semolina


  • 1 tbsp gram flour


  • 1 tbsp curd


  • 2 green chillies


  • 2 tbsp green coriander chopped


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 tsp or to taste salt


  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp oil


  • 1 pouch eno fruit salt


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp carom seeds


  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1/8 tsp hing


  • 2 whole red dry chillies


  • 1 string of curry leaves

Directions

  • First wash and soak both dal for atleast 2 -3 hours.
  • Drain water and add soaked dal in to a blender and blend it along with green chillies.add curd and blend again to a smooth or slightly course paste.
  • Take it out in a bowl, add semolina, gram flour, ginger - garlic paste, fresh coriander, red chilli powder and salt.give it a good mix.
  • Add required water,batter should be slightly thick.add eno and mix gently.
  • Fill greased muffins moulds or tin with batter.(fill 3/4).place in a preheated microwave and bake for 25 -30 mins.on 180℃. (Convection mode )or bake till top layer is formed crisp.
  • prepare tempring -- in a tempering pan add oil, once oil heats add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, hing and curry leaves.allow to splutter and pour the tempering over prepared muffins.
  • Baked moong dal savoury muffins is ready to serve.serve with green chutney or with sauce.
